St James' Font

Dating from the early 12 Century, this excellent piece of antiquity is sited in the tower section of St James' Church, Avebury.

Here Be Dragons

The font has a fantastic design, most interestingly, featuring two dragons subdued beneath of the Christ.

Sunny West Kennet

Handy Cap

The Cap-stones of West Kennet Avenue, forming a grand entrance to the tomb. There were around thirty bodies found within the tomb, with more buried in the outer mound.

Silbury Beyond

The Cap Stones of West Kennet with Silbury Hill in the far distance. There is a more or less straight line between West Kennet, Silbury and the Windmill Hill settlement.
